Winter/Spring 2026 Baseball Season - Winter 2026

The HPBSA Winter/Spring 2026 Baseball League offers kids ages 4 through 17 a chance to play a team sport from early January through May. Along with registration, the fee includes: A uniform, team practice equipment (balls, bases), player trophies, and leaguewide events.  We are a recreational baseball league, which means that everyone WILL be drafted to a team after a mandatory evaluation in early January 2026. There are NO tryouts. We have set limits on our enrollment in the Atom, Bantam, and Majors divisions; sign up immediately to avoid being placed on our waitlist.  Our T-Ball division will not have an evaluation day. All divisions will be decided by the age of your child on September 1st, 2025.  There MAY be exceptions approved by the league to allow players to stay with their grade level.

5 & Under - T-Ball Division (Kindergarten and younger) 

7 & Under - Atom American & Atom National Divisions (Coach Pitch - Kindergartners and beginner 1st Graders will play in the American Division.  2nd Graders and advanced 1st Graders will play in the National Division.) 

9 & Under - Bantam Division (Kid Pitch - 3rd and 4th Graders) 

11 & Under - Majors Division (5th and 6th Graders with some possible 7th Graders who are beginning players) 

12 & Up - Juvenile (7th, 8th and 9th Graders and older players who are not on high school teams)

The HPBSA Winter/Spring 2026 Girls Softball League offers kids ages 6 through 14 a chance to play a team sport from early January through May. Games and practices will be held at Chapman Field, Coral Reef and Palmetto Bay parks. Along with registration, the fee includes: A uniform (jersey, socks & belt), practice jersey, team practice equipment (balls, catchers gear), player trophies, training/clinics and leaguewide events.  We are a recreational softball league, which means that everyone WILL be drafted to a team after a mandatory evaluation in early January 2026. If you'd like to be a champion for the girls softball community and are interested in coaching, please register as a Volunteer.  You must pass a FREE background check and attend a mandatory coaches clinic in January.

Your registration is fully refundable if you withdraw before the draft.  After your daughter is drafted to a team, the registration fee is non-refundable.

Umpires,

As we prepare for the upcoming season, I want to emphasize the importance of background checks for all our umpires. The safety and well-being of our players, coaches, and families are our top priority.

To ensure a secure and trustworthy environment, we require all umpires to undergo thorough background checks. This measure is non-negotiable, and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Our umpires play a critical role in the community environment we strive for with our league.  The league is committed to ensuring our Umpires are treated with the appreciation and respect they deserve given the contribution they are making to our community and recreational league.

Included in your enrollment are our new Umpire standards for the 2026 season that outline our expectations for conduct and preparation for the upcoming season.  All umpires are working with Howard Palmetto as individual service providers who are accountable for upholding these standards.
