Fall 2026 Girls Softball - Fall 2026

The HPBSA Fall 2026 Girls Softball League offers kids ages 6 through 15 a chance to play a team sport from August through early December. Games and practices will be held at Palmetto Bay parks and Chapman field. Along with registration, the fee includes: A full uniform (jersey, socks, belt), team practice equipment (balls, bases), player awards, and leaguewide events.  We are a recreational softball league, which means that everyone WILL be drafted to a team after a mandatory evaluation in late August 2026. Coaches are typically volunteer family members.  If you'd like to be a champion for the girls softball community, please register as a Volunteer.  You must pass a FREE background check and attend a mandatory coaches clinic.

All divisions will be decided by the age of your child on September 1st, 2026. 

8 & Under - Softball I (Coach Pitch) 

10 & Under - Softball II 

11 & Up - Softball III

Your registration fee is fully refundable if you withdraw before the draft.  After your daughter is drafted to a team, the registration fee is non-refundable.

Fall Ball 2026 Atom and Bantam - Fall 2026

Thank you for your patience as we prepare for our new Fall Ball Bantam and Atom leagues for the Fall 2025 season. We are thrilled with the turnout at tryouts, with over 250 kids participating across both divisions. You are receiving this email because your son tried out for our Fall Ball program. Below are the next steps and what to expect in the coming weeks.

Please note: This information pertains only to Bantam and Atom Fall Ball registrations. Aces enrollments for 6U, 8U, and 10U-13U will be announced in the next several days.

1. Register your child to be added to the Fall Ball waitlist. Registration is open until Sunday, June 15th.
• Only players who attended a Fall Ball tryout are eligible for the draft.
• This preliminary waitlist registration helps us identify who is committed to the fall program ahead of the draft.
2. Draft dates: Bantam will be held on June 16th, and Atom on June 23rd. The draft will follow the same format as our spring program.
• 48 players will be selected for Bantam (4 teams)
• 60 players will be selected for Atom (5 teams)
3. Notification and registration fee: Families will be notified the day after their division’s draft.
• Selected players will be moved from the waitlist to their respective league, and the $275 registration fee for the fall season will be due.
• Parents will have until Friday of the week following each division’s draft to complete registration and payment.
4. Unselected players: Those not drafted will remain on the waitlist until Sandlot enrollment opens later this summer.

Important note: Our Fall Ball program will enforce a strict ONE TEAM policy.

• Players participating on teams outside of Howard Palmetto will not be eligible for Fall Ball.
• This policy ensures that the limited available roster spots are prioritized for players fully committed to their Howard Palmetto teams.

HP Fall Sandlot Baseball - Fall 2026

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our Fall Sandlot Baseball League, starting September!

This program is designed for kids aged 6-12 who want to play baseball in a fun and safe environment.

- Coach Pitch Division (ages 6-7-8)
- Kid Pitch Division (ages 9-10-11-12)

Goal is for each division to have at-least 1 practice per week and 1 scrimmage per week with an umpire.

Registration is now open, with a fee of $140 covering field rentals, uniforms, and umpires.

Each participant will receive two jerseys and a hat. Kids should come to practice with baseball pants, cleats, a helmet with a cage, and their own glove.

Aces - Fall 2026

The Howard Palmetto Aces Program is for Howard Palmetto's most committed and talented players who want the opportunity to play and develop their baseball skills year-round.  The culmination of the Aces Program is the opportunity to earn a spot for a once in a lifetime trip to Cooperstown, NY during the summer of their 12U year.  Our Aces program allows players to compete against teams from other organizations in local leagues and/or tournaments.

The registration fee includes:

• 2 button down jerseys
• 2 pairs of pants (for 9U and older)
• Fitted hat with number embroidered
• League registration fee OR three (3) tournaments this fall
• Practice fields (we have secured more fields than prior years to give each team adequate practice time)
• Practice shirt

Unlike last year, we are not requiring families to prepay for spring registration.  Spring registration will open in January and all Aces players are expected to play in the upcoming spring season.  -

HPBSA Umpires 2026 - Annual 2026

Umpires,

As we prepare for the upcoming season, I want to emphasize the importance of background checks for all our umpires. The safety and well-being of our players, coaches, and families are our top priority.

To ensure a secure and trustworthy environment, we require all umpires to undergo thorough background checks. This measure is non-negotiable, and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Our umpires play a critical role in the community environment we strive for with our league.  The league is committed to ensuring our Umpires are treated with the appreciation and respect they deserve given the contribution they are making to our community and recreational league.

Included in your enrollment are our new Umpire standards for the 2026 season that outline our expectations for conduct and preparation for the upcoming season.  All umpires are working with Howard Palmetto as individual service providers who are accountable for upholding these standards.
